Drivers, Laborers, Equipment Operators and Internship Program

Asphalt  Surfacing Company employs the following positions: equipment  operators,  drivers and laborers. Individuals should possess a desire to  excel,  show pride in the work they complete, love working outdoors,  strive for  quality, enjoy teamwork and show motivation.

Responsibilities include:

• Drivers must  possess a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License and have  experience driving both end and side dumps. Must also be able to or  have  the ability to learn how to operate equipment for loading trucks  and on occasion be comfortable operating power tools, brooms and  compaction equipment.
• Laborer responsibilities include, but are not limited to shoveling, spreading and raking materials, maintaining equipment and supplies and operating  power tools, brooms and compaction equipment as well as general clean up.
• Heavy Equipment Operator requires experience in utilizing a combination of construction equipment including front end loaders, hydraulic excavators, backhoes, dozers, skid steers and blades. 
• Paving Operator responsibilities include operating equipment used for applying asphalt  or other materials to driveways, road beds, parking lots, airport  runways and taxiways as well as equipment used for compacting gravel, dirt, or other materials. Equipment includes asphalt paving machine operators, screed operators, skid steer operators, plate packers,   distributors, roller operators, and chip spreader operators.

Both  seasonal position and full-time positions are available based on   experience. Most work is in the Sioux Falls area with little overnight  travel. Advancement opportunities are available.

• Ability to lift 70 lbs. multiple times
• Valid Driver's License Required (Class A or B CDL License a Plus)
• Good Attendance & Punctuality
• Pre-employment Drug Screening and Physical Required
